How about some Canadian artists, like Bryan Adams (Anything off Reckless or Cuts like a knife), Corey Hart (Sunglasses at night), Loverboy (Working for the weekend), or Glass Tiger (Don't forget me when I'm gone), eh?

    G'day Pip.

Thanks for the feedback, and the suggestion.  Unfortunately, as an 80s band, we can't do Rebel Rebel because it was released in 74, and out of the charts by 75.  Shame, I like that one too.  We do have plans for another Bowie tune though, perhaps China Girl, or Modern Love.  We haven't decided yet.

Hope to see you at the next gig!

    Cheers

    Great gig on the 10th!
Re Bowie - had you thought about doing Rebel Rebel? I think it would be a hit with the punters, including me!
    Cheers, Pip

Ah.... a Madonna tune might not be easy given our line-up of blokes.  However, we do know quite a few female singers, and may partner up with them one day to do a madonna tune as a guest appearance.

More Billy Idol man.  You guys did a good job of White wedding you should do more.  Rebel yell, Mony Mony, or Dancing with myself would be good for your band.

My favourite Aussie song of the eighties was Errol by Australian Crawl.  Can't get much more of Australian hit than that.

Some great suggestions in here.  Some we have taken on board and should have ready in time for this Friday at the New Sydney.

We're working on; white wedding, counting the beat, everybody wants to rule the world, land down under, end of the world as we know it, and walking on sunshine.  Thanks to those who suggested them.

The lion sleeps tonight would be a great one for the cowd to sing along to, but none of our pants are that tight, sorry.  =o)

Very talented guitarist.  I've seen him in another band a while back.  He's amazing.

Could you do the Pretenders - Back on the Chaingang? It would suit your band and is 80,s

I notice from your blurb that two of the band are Daves too, so you should do more Dave tunes, like David Bowie, David Lee Roth, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), David Essex,  etc.

I LOVED your show! (New Syd - first gig). Good sound and great talent all round (musical that is! - although that lead singer is HOT!). I reckon you should scrap "Ghostbusters" though. Its too inane for a vibrant band such as yours. How about replacing it with "White Wedding" by Billy Idol?

This isn't my top 5 so much as 5 tunes I like from the 80s.

The Police "Every little thing she does is magic" (The first single I ever bought)
Men at Work "Land down under"
Devo "Whip it" (I want one of those hats)
Bruce Hornsby "That's just the way it is"
    Frankie goes to Hollywood "Relax"
    Cindy Lauper "True Colours"
    New Order "Blue Monday"
    The Stranglers "Golden brown"
    Prince "Lets go crazy"
    Phil Collins "Sussudio"

Ok, that's more than five.  I know.
